16201. I Shall See Him When He Comes

1 I shall see Him when He comes in all His glory,
And with all the holy angels in array;
With the saints all robed in light’s resplendent glory,
When earth’s dark’ning clouds forever fade away.

Refrain:
I shall see Him when He comes,
When He comes in all His glory,
I shall know Him when I see Him face to face;
I shall listen while He tells,
While He tells the sweet old story,
How He planned to save lost sinners by His grace.

2 I shall see Him as He is and join the chorus,
With the ransomed ones who sing around the throne;
O what joy to have His banner ever o’er us,
In the land where sin and sorrow are unknown. [Refrain]

3 I shall see Him, and the sight will be most glorious,
When His tender, loving eyes shall rest on me;
I shall see Him, O my soul, what heav’nly rapture!
In the glory of His presence e’er to be. [Refrain]
