34. Father in Heaven, Thou Who Hast Given

1 Father in heaven,
Thou who hast given
Thine only Son that in Him we might live:
Jubilant praises
My heart now raises;
Gladly my life, Lord, to Thee I would give.

2 Jesus, my Saviour,
Thou who hast ever
Loved little children and bidden them come:
Speak, Lord, I hear Thee,
O draw me near Thee;
Keep me, and love, and guide me safe home.

3 Spirit, most gracious,
Gifts that are precious
Freely Thou givest: peace, joy, pardon, rest;
Sweetly Thou pleadest,
Tenderly leadest
Lambs unto Jesus,—in Him we are blest!

Amen.
