91. Be a Worker for the Lord

1 Work, and let the Master see
Ready hand and willing heart;
Work to bear his message sweet,
And its riches to impart.

Chorus:
Come, we pray, come, O come to-day,
Be a worker for the Lord,
Be a worker for the Lord;
Heed the call that comes to all,
O be a willing worker for the Lord.

2 Work to storm the fort of sin,
And to set the captives free;
Work to speed the Master's cause
Over land and over sea. [Chorus]

3 Work to carry out his plan,
That to all his truth may come;
Work to bear the gospel hope
To the waiting heart and home. [Chorus]

4 Work to sow the precious seed
All along the passing years;
Work to have your sheaves in hand
When the harvest morn appears. [Chorus]
