106. At the End of the Way

1 At the end of the way,
At the close of the day,
At the end of the pathway I roam,
With my labor all done
And the victory won,
Christ is waiting to welcome me home.

Refrain:
At the end of the way I will lay my burdens down,
At the end of the day I’ll receive the promised crown,
At the end of the way, at the closing of the day,
I’ll see Jesus at the end of the way.

2 At the end of the way,
When the mists roll away,
And the burdens of earth are laid down;
We shall join the refrain
With our loved ones again,
Where the cross will be changed for the crown. [Refrain]

3 I shall meet with the King,
And His praises will sing
Thro’ the years of eternity’s day;
Thro’ His wonderful grace
I shall look on His face,
At the end, at the end of the way. [Refrain]
