1 Now the shades of night are gone,
Now is past the early dawn;
Lord, we would be thine to-day;
Drive the shades of sin away.

2 Make our souls as noonday clear,
Banish every doubt and fear;
In thy vineyard, Lord, to-day,
We would labor, we would pray.

3 When our work of life is past,
O receive us all at last;
Labor then will all be o'er,
Sin's dark night will be no more.
