Scripture: Isaiah 26:3 Author of "We Bless Thee for Thy Peace" in The Hymnal of The Evangelical United Brethren Church In some hymnals, the editors noted that a hymn's author is unknown to them, and so this artificial "person" entry is used to reflect that fact. Obviously, the hymns attributed to "Author Unknown" "Unknown" or "Anonymous" could have been written by many people over a span of many centuries.

1813 - 1882 Person Name: Oscar Ahnfelt, 1813-1882 Scripture: Isaiah 26:3 Composer of "BLOTT EN DAG" in The Covenant Hymnal Oscar Ahnfelt (1813 -1882) was a Swedish singer and composer. He wrote the music for many of Lina Sandell’s hymns. A pietist, he raised some concern in the State-church, but his music was apparently so popular, King Karl XV gave him permission to play and sing in both of his kingdoms.
