Happy spirits joyful rise

Representative Text

1 Happy spirits joyful rise,
To your home in Paradise,
There forever dwell in bliss,
Through long ages, dwell in bliss,

Chorus:
There with dazzling light,
On your raptured sight,
Shall rise the glories of your home,
And fair angel bands
To the Heavenly land,
To welcome you shall come,
Therefore evermore, forevermore
Your blest abode shall be,
O the joy, the love of the saints above,
No scornful words, no tears of woe,
O that glorious rest
Of each welcome guest,
Now safe arrived at home,
In these mansions blest our Father's home,
Our glorious heavenly home.

2 Where the stars give purest light,
Through the heavens take your flight,
Flying from this world of woe,
Singing praises as you go.

Chorus:
There with dazzling light,
On your raptured sight,
Shall rise the glories of your home,
And fair angel bands
To the Heavenly land,
To welcome you shall come,
Therefore evermore, forevermore
Your blest abode shall be,
O the joy, the love of the saints above,
No scornful words, no tears of woe,
O that glorious rest
Of each welcome guest,
Now safe arrived at home,
In these mansions blest our Father's home,
Our glorious heavenly home.

3 For a season sorely tried,
Tried and proved and purified,
Sing sweet praises rich and clear,
As you pass each rolling sphere.

Chorus:
There with dazzling light,
On your raptured sight,
Shall rise the glories of your home,
And fair angel bands
To the Heavenly land,
To welcome you shall come,
Therefore evermore, forevermore
Your blest abode shall be,
O the joy, the love of the saints above,
No scornful words, no tears of woe,
O that glorious rest
Of each welcome guest,
Now safe arrived at home,
In these mansions blest our Father's home,
Our glorious heavenly home.
O could we rise with you,
Amid the heavenly host
To sing forevermore,
Forever, evermore.
