Dan Ei faner Ef
Mae gan Iesu goron
Fry yn nheyrnas nef
Lluoedd Duw a Satan
Sydd yn cwrdd yn awr:
Mae gan blant eu cyfran
Yn y rhyfel mawr.

Byrdwn:
I bob un sydd ffyddlon,
Dan Ei faner Ef
Mae gan Iesu goron
Fry yn nheyrnas nef.

2 Medd-dod fel Goliath
Heria ddyn a Duw;
Myrdd a myrdd garchara
Gan mor feiddgar yw;
Brodyr a chwiorydd
Sy’n ei gastell prudd:
Rhaid yw chwalu’i geyrydd,
Rhaid cael pawb yn rhydd. [Byrdwn]

3 Awn i gwrdd y gelyn,
Bawb ag arfau glân;
Uffern sydd i’n herbyn
A’i phicellau tân.
Gwasgwn yn y rhengau,

Also known as Ap Hefin or Ap Hevin, Merthyr. LLOYD, HENRY (‘Ap Hefin’; 1870-1946), poet and printer; b. 23 June 1870 in Tyddyn Ifan, Islaw'r Dref, Dolgellau, Mer., to David and Margaret Lloyd. He received some education in Arthog school, but more, he claimed, from the literary societies of the churches and the Good Templars. In 1878 he moved to Cwm Bwlchcoc, Dolgellau. After being an apprentice printer in the office of Y Dydd, he went to Aberdare in 1891 as a compositor in the office of Y Darian. In 1893, he moved to Merthyr, to the office of Y Tyst, and in 1902 returned to Aberdare, to the office of Y Darianand the Aberdare Leader.
