The Half Has Never Yet Been Told

Representative Text

1 I know I love Thee better, Lord
Than any earthly joy:
For Thou hast given me the peace
Which nothing can destroy.

Refrain:
The half has never yet been told,
Of love so full and free;
The half has never yet been told,
The blood, it cleanseth me.

2 I know that Thou art nearer still
Than any earthly throng;
And sweeter is the thought of Thee
Than any lovely song. [Refrain]

3 Thou hast put gladness in my heart,
Then may I well be glad;
Without the secret of Thy love,
I could not but be sad. [Refrain]

4 O Savior, precious Savior mine!
What will Thy presence be,
If such a life of joy can crown
Our walk on earth with Thee? [Refrain]

In the following year she says, "I committed my soul to the Saviour, and earth and heaven seemed brighter from that moment." A short sojourn in Germany followed, and on her return she was confirmed in Worcester Cathedral, July 17, 1853. In 1860 she left Worcester on her father resigning the Rectory of St. Nicholas, and resided at different periods in Leamington, and at Caswall Bay, Swansea, broken by visits to Switzerland, Scotland, and North Wales.
