I'll Be There

Representative Text

1 I shall see the King some day in that land not far away,
When the glory gates unfold bright and fair;
I shall look upon His face, hallelujah! saved by grace,
When the saints walk streets of gold I'll be there.

Refrain:
I'll be there, I'll be there,
When the glory morning breaks bright and fair, bright and fair
On that happy, golden shore, with the saints who've gone before,
When they meet to part no more, I'll be there.

2 I shall meet the ones I've known, sing with them around the throne,
Oh what glory that will be, ours to share;
Free from all that can molest, ni that City of the blest,
At the meeting, look for me, I'll be there. [refrain]

3 When they gather on the strand, in that fair and happy land,
Shouts of joy will swell and rise on the air;
Millions will take up the strain; praising Christ, the Lamb once slain,
At that meeting in the skies, I'll be there. [refrain]
