Representative Text

1. In every cloud of pain and loss
There is a silver lining;
Beyond the shadow of the cross
The Morning Star is shining.

Refrain
Upon my way from day to day,
With hope my path adorning,
I see afar the Morning Star,
The matchless Star of Morning.

2. We need the trials we must bear
Like gold that needs refining;
But, oh, there is no sorrow where
The Morning Star is shining! [Refrain]

3. Temptations greet us day by day,
To sin our hearts inclining;
But still and bright upon our way
The Morning Star is shining. [Refrain]

4. In yonder city, glad and free,
I’ll cease my sad repining;
How sweet to hope it is for me
The Morning Star is shining! [Refrain]
