Representative Text

1 Jesus Christ our great Redeemer,
Who hath subduèd death,
From death awaketh;
The power of sin He breaketh.
Have mercy upon us.

2 Born alone without transgression,
He bore for us God’s wrath;
Peace He hath given;
Grace He hath brought from Heaven:
Have mercy upon us.

3 All the powers of light and darkness
He holdeth in His hands;
He brings salvation
To His redeemèd nation.
Have mercy upon us.
