Above the Shadows

Grasp the Saviour’s mighty hand;
In His strength rise ever upward,
Till upon the heights you stand.
In the valley there is danger,
Shades of darkness oft-times fall;
Doubts and fears like mountains rising,
E’en the strongest hearts appall,

2 Strive to help the fainting onward,
As the sunny heights you scale;
For without your aid some brother,
In the heav’n-ward path may fail.
As you aim to gain the summit,
Let the Master be your guide;
Then the grace to succor others,
