Leopold Eberhard Bonsen (* 1699 in Montbéliard, † 1788 ) was a French Lutheran theologian. He was born in Montbéliard in 1699 the son of a German father and a French. He studied theology at the University of Strasbourg. 1723 he was in a French church vicar, was then as tutor worked and was in 1727 as a vice-principal of the school used in his hometown. Eight years later he was promoted to rector. For superintendent he was appointed in 1769. 1788 he died in his hometown.
