Pass On the Torch

Representative Text

1 Pass on the torch, pass on the flame;
Remember whence the Glory came;
And eyes are on you as you run,
Beyond the shining of the sun.

2 Lord Christ, we take the torch from Thee;
We must be true, we must be free,
And clean of heart, and strong of soul
To bear the Glory to its goal.

3 O Lord of life, to Thee we kneel;
Maker of men, our purpose seal;
We will, for honor of Thy name,
Pass on the torch, pass on the flame.

Amen.
