1. Shout forth the tidings,
The Lord of light is ris’n today,
Shout forth the tidings,
For death hath lost his mighty sway.

Semi Chorus
Where, say where, oh death, where is thy sting?
And where, oh grave, say where,
Oh where is now thy victory? (repeat)

Full Chorus
Jesus hath arisen,
He hath burst His three days prison;
Praise Him, praise the Savior,
Who hath conquered death and hell.
Praise thou, praise the mighty God,
Let your praises ever loudly swell,
Praise on earth, and praise ye heavenly host,
Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. (repeat)

2. Shout forth the tidings,
Proclaim the news o’er land and sea;
Shout forth the tidings,
For Christ hath won the victory. [Chorus]
