Kept in Peace

Representative Text

1 The Lord in perfect peace will keep,
O have you stayed your mind on Him?
The spirits of His blood-bought sheep,
O are you stayed on Him.

Refrain:
In perfect peace Thou'lt keep him
Whose mind is stayed, is stayed on Thee,
In perfect peace Thou'lt keep him,
Whose mind is stayed on Thee.

2 No rav'nous beast may do them harm,
O have you stayed your mind on Him?
He is their shelter from the storm,
O are you stayed on Him. [Refrain]

3 O have you made the Lord your own?
O have you stayed your mind on Him?
And has He made your heart His throne?
O are you stayed on Him. [Refrain]

4 O does His peace within you reign?
O have you stayed your mind on Him?
And are His ways to you made plain?
O are you stayed on Him. [Refrain]

5 O have you all the world denied?
O have you stayed your mind on Him?
Chosen the Lord and none beside?
O are you stayed on Him. [Refrain]

6 Have you the Holy Ghost received?
O have you stayed your mind on Him?
Have you been "sealed" since you believe.
O are you stayed on Him. [Refrain]
