11443. Lights Along The Shore

1 O blessèd lights along the shore,
O blessèd coming aid,
I hear above the tempest’s roar,
Thy voice, Be not dismayed.

Refrain:
O beauteous lights along the shore,
Or stars or beacons fair,
We bless your beams, and yield no more
To billows of despair.

2 Soon trials will no more distress,
Our suffering will be passed;
God will His faithful children bless,
And shelter from the blast. [Refrain]

3 O glorious lights that flash afar,
Sweet messages of love,
That sound above earth’s din and jar,
There’s rest and peace above. [Refrain]

4 Though storms be long and streams be deep,
Faith, hope, ne’er, ne’er give o’er;
Almighty power will ever keep
Lights on the heavenly shore. [Refrain]
