1 God so loved the world, that in mercy He gave
His Son as a ransom, lost sinners to save;
O thou who hast never believed on His name,
Remember the truth that the Scriptures proclaim:

On Jesus the Savior thou hast not believed;

The life that He offers thou hast not received.

2 Already condemned in the sight of the Lord,
Because thou art turning away from His Word;
Thou choosest the evil, rejectest the right;

O think what a sentence hangs over thy heart;
Yet why wilt thou perish when thou canst be free?
