1 Jesus said of little children,
"Suffer them to come to Me,
For to such My heavenly kingdom
Shall a home of welcome be."
I love Him, He loves me,
And His child I want to be,
For He said "the little children,"
And I know that He means me.

2 When I try to be like Jesus—
Patient, gentle, meek and mild,
Then it is He smiles and loves me,
Then He owns me as His child.
I love Him, He loves me,
And His child I’ll try to be,
For He said "the little children,"
And I know that He means me.

3 Every day, as I grow older,
More I’ll try to do His will,
Growing wiser, stronger, better,
Every duty to fulfill.
I’ll love Him, He’ll love me,
His disciple I will be,
