1 Forward in the name of Jesus,
Listening for His command,
Following the way He leads us,
Marching to the promised land.
Leaving all the past behind us,
Looking to the things before,
Finding joy and beauty in the way of duty
More and more.

Forward, trusting in the Saviour’s might,
Forward, led by faith and not by sight,
For they who follow where His cross shall lead the way
Shall wear a crown of glory in the endless day.

2 Forward in the name of Jesus,
T’ward the land our hearts desire,
Guided, as His chosen people,
By the sign of cloud and fire.
Dauntless in the hour of danger,
Fearless as we face the foe;
Christ will fail us never; we may trust Him ever

Fighting with the pow’rs of sin,
Till the blessed land of promise
We at last shall enter in.
There the true and tried and faithful,
