147. To Him that loved us, gave Himself

1 To Him that loved us, gave Himself,
And died to do us good,
Has washed us from our scarlet sins
In His most precious blood;
Who made us kings and priests to God
His Father infinite;
To Him eternal glory be,
And everlasting might!

2 Thro' Him to God--the God most high--
Praise for all grace be given;
Whose gifts through all eternity
We'll gladly sin in heaven:
His Christ has loved us, given Himself,
And died to do us good,
Has washed us from our scarlet sins
In His own precious blood.
