Tune: | ALL EHR UND LOB |
1 Creator Spirit, by whose aid
The world's foundations first were laid,
Come, visit ev'ry humble mind;
Come, pour your joys on humankind;
From sin and sorrow set us free;
May we, each one, your temple be.
2 O Source of uncreated light,
The bearer of God's gracious might,
Thrice-holy fount, thrice-holy fire,
Our hearts with heav'nly love inspire;
Refreshing show'rs of blessing bring
To sanctify us as we sing.
3 Plenteous of grace, your are the key
Unlocking sev'nfold energy;
Make us eternal truths receive
And practice all that we believe;
Give us yourself that we through you
Our heav'nly Father's will may do.
4 Immortal honor, endless fame
Attend the gracious Father's name;
The Savior Son be glorified,
Who for lost man's redemption died;
And equal adoration rise
For you, O Spirit, to the skies.
