26. The rise of a Church

1 Brethren and Sisters we stand in Church relation,
We have inlisted under the King of heaven,
Taken our bounty, taken our bounty,
And thereby are holden to march the road to Heaven.

2 Well if we are soldiers let us wear the armour,
Or else we have no comfort neither can be useful
To our Captain, to our Captain,
Nor promote his banner among the friends of Satan.

3 Who is our Captain that we should e'er abuse him?
His name is King Jesus, his stores are sufficient,
Evening and morning, evening and morning,
We may draw our rations to strengthen us to Battle.

4 Besides all dear soldiers think upon our vestment,
We have robe that's seamless, that ever will grow brighter,
The more that we wear it, the more that we wear it,
The brighter it will shine, O blessed be this vestment.
