215. I’m Praying to Thee

1 Father, I stretch my trembling hands to Thee,
They plead my cause, they seek Thy promised grace;
Hear Thou the prayer I make on bended knee,
Remove the veil and show Thy smiling face.

To Thee I am praying,
To Thee I am praying;
Dear Father in heaven,
I’m praying to Thee.

2 Jesus, my Saviour, in heaven interceding,
Praying my pray’r to Him who knows thy voice;
Asking the Father, my sins to be forgiven,
And I receive the fullness of His grace.

To Thee I am praying,
To Thee I am praying;
Dear Saviour in glory,
I’m praying to Thee.

3 Spirit Divine, the truth Thou art revealing,
That God the Father hears and answers pray’r;
That Jesus, Saviour, my mansion is preparing,
And I some day shall dwell forever there.

To Thee I am praying,
To Thee I am praying;
Dear Spirit e’er present,
I’m praying to Thee.
