Though the main text is suitable for Christmas, there is also a second, alternate Advent text. K. Lee Scott wrote this for the All Saints Children's choirs in Homewood, Alabama, and it is dedicated to them. However, it is sophisticated enough to be done with unison or two part adult women. An optional C instrument part is provided, and the accompaniment is written for keyboard or harp.
