There seems to be a major disconnect between the number of instances listed for each text on the author page, and the number on the individual hymn text page. For example, on Anne Steele's page at http://www.hymnary.org/person/Steele_A?sort=desc&order=Instances it says her her Hymn "Father, whate'er of earthly bliss" is found in 650 instances. But on the page for that hymn, (http://www.hymnary.org/text/father_whateer_of_earthly_bliss) it says the text appears in 794 hymnals. Shouldn't these numbers match? Or am I misunderstanding their meaning?

The count of instances you find on the person pages counts how many times the name appears in the instances for that hymn. However, the count for the hymn is the number of instances. Some hymnals do not include the author's names with the hymns, which accounts for the discrepancy.
