George Edward Woodberry, b. Beverly, Mass., May 12, 1855. Graduated Harvard. Professor of English Literature in the State University of nebraska, and then in Columbia College. contributor to Atlantic Monthly and Nation, New York. Author of a Life of Poe; and Studies in Letters and Life. Published The North Shore Watch and other Poems, 1890.
