Michael Morgan

b. 1948 Author (verses) of "LORD, You Are My Refuge" in Christian Worship Michael Morgan (b. 1948) is a church musician, Psalm scholar, and collector of English Bibles and Psalters from Atlanta, Georgia. After almost 40 years, he now serves as Organist Emeritus for Atlanta’s historic Central Presbyterian Church, and as Seminary Musician at Columbia Theological Seminary. He holds degrees from Florida State University and Atlanta University, and did post-graduate study with composer Richard Purvis in San Francisco. He has played recitals, worship services, and master classes across the U. S., and in England, France, Spain, Switzerland, and Germany. He is author of the Psalter for Christian Worship (1999; rev. 2010), and a regular contributor in the field of psalmody (most recently to the Reformed collections Psalms for All Seasons and Lift Up Your Hearts, and the new Presbyterian hymnal, Glory to God). Richard D. Wetzel

b. 1935 Arranger of "WAYFARING STRANGER" in Glory to God Richard D. Wetzel (b. 1935) received the Ph.D. in Musicology from the University of Pittsburgh, studying under D�nes Bartha, Theodore Finney, and Robert Snow. He joined the faculty of Ohio University in 1970. Dr. Wetzel's area of emphasis is American Music, and he is published in The New Grove Dictionary of American Music and American National Biography. His book, Frontier Musicians, is a definitive work on German-American music of the 18th and 19th centuries. Wetzel is also a composer and hymnologist, and his liturgical music is found in numerous denominational hymnals, including those published by the Episcopal and Presbyterian churches and the United Church of Christ. Professor Wetzel was the recipient of Ohio University's Outstanding University Professor Award and is currently Chair of Graduate Studies in the School of Music. Indianapolis, Indiana, February 9, 1932) was the music editor of *Great Songs of the Church, Revised*, published by ACU Press in 1986. He earned a B.S. degree in music education from Abilene Christian University, a masters degree in music composition and theory from the University of North Texas, and a Ph.D. in choral literature from the University of Iowa. Boyd edited *Children, Rejoice!* (Sweet, 1979) and he authored *Rehearsal Guide for the Choral Director* (Parker, 1970) and *Leading the Lord's Singing* (Quality, 1981). He is a member of Churches of Christ and lives in Abilene, Texas. Monty Lynn
