Author: Isaac Watts Hymnal: Evangelical Lutheran hymnal #164 (1908) Hymnal Title: Evangelical Lutheran hymnal Lyrics: 1 Jesus shall reign where'er the sun
Does his successive journeys run;
His kingdom stretch from shore to shore,
Till moons shall wax and wane no more.
2 People and realms of every tongue
Dwell on His love with grateful song;
And with united hearts proclaim
That grace and truth by Jesus name.
3 Blessings abound where'er He reigns:
The prisoners leap to lose their chains,
The weary find eternal rest,
And all the sons of want are blest.
4 Where He displays His healing power,
The sting of death is known no more
In Him the sons of Adam boast
More blessings than their father lost. Topics: The Church Year Mission; Second Sunday of Advent; Twelfth Sunday after Trinity Languages: English Tune Title: MISSIONARY CHANT
