9. The Witness Clear

1 I’ve a story sweet to tell,
With my soul I know ‘tis well;
For the witness clear, bids all doubt and fear
In my soul no more to dwell.

Refrain:
I could never tell the half He’s done,
If I’d talk from dawn till set of sun;
But there is one thing I must tell,
That with my soul I know ‘tis well,
Every day I have the witness clear,
So I’ll trust His love and never fear,
Whate’er befalls me, I know He calls me,
His child, His Own.

2 From the land of doubts and fears,
From the realm of sighs and tears,
I am free for aye, for my Lord will stay
Thro’ the passing days and years. [Refrain]

3 By His blood once shed for me,
On the cross of Calvary,
He has saved my soul, He shall e’er control,
And His child I’ll ever be. [Refrain]
