19. O sinner, can you turn from the loving plea

1 O sinner, can you turn from the loving plea
Of the Christ who died to save your soul from death?
How can you slight His grace and His love, when He
Prayed for your forgiveness with His dying breath?

Refrain:
Will you come unto Him for mercy?
He will peace and pardon give;
O receive Him as your Saviour,
Come unto Him and live.

2 The Saviour knocks today at your heart’s closed door,
He is waiting to come in and be your guest;
O turn Him not away, lest He come no more;
Let Him in, and He will give you sweetest rest! [Refrain]

3 He longs to fill your heart with His boundless grace,
Longs to give your troubled spirit sweet release;
O sinner, come today, seek His blessed face,
Let Him in, and He will bring you perfect peace. [Refrain]
