Precious is the peace they offer In the Savior's own dear name, Who, for us His life to proffer, From His throne in heav'n He came. 2 Earthly chains must not enslave him Who would serve our gracious Lord; In the strength the Master gave him He must preach His holy Word, Gladly bearing pain and sorrow, Self-forgetful evermore.
