157. Pilgrims

1 Pilgrims, pilgrims, pilgrims,
Saints of the most high God!
With garments white and armor bright
They walk the narrow road;
Marching, marching, marching
Along the heav’nly way,
All-glorious, victorious,
To realms of endless day.

2 Pilgrims, pilgrims, pilgrims,
This world is not our home:
‘Tis insecure, ‘twill not endure,
We’re seeking one to come;
Yonder, yonder, yonder
Among the hills of light,
Where angels sing and glad hearts ring,
The city is in sight.

3 Pilgrims, pilgrims, pilgrims,
Shut in to be with God,
The battle done, the vict’ry won
Thru Jesus’ precious blood;
Resting, resting, resting
Upon our Savior’s breast,
To see His face, to share His grace,
Forever saved and blest.
