[Glangeirionydd.] Born at Trefriw in Caernarvonshire. He is considered the chief Welsh Hymn-writer of this century, as Williams was of the last century. He published two books of hymns and tunes between 1829 and 1841. He was Vicar of Rhyl, and died in 1850.
