Leonard Duffie Huffstutler Born: June 17, 1887, Li­ber­ty, Al­a­ba­ma. Died: Jan­u­a­ry 7, 1977, Dal­las, Tex­as. Buried: Laur­el Land Me­mor­i­al Park, Dal­las, Tex­as. Leonard was the son of Hugh Mont­gom­e­ry Huff­stut­ler and Amel­ia E. Dick­son, and hus­band of Sall­ie Cow­art. He grew up on a Tex­as farm and at­tend­ed Tex­as A&M Un­i­ver­si­ty, Col­lege Sta­tion. He stu­died mu­sic with John Her­bert, Ru­fus Cor­ne­li­us, Ho­mer Ro­de­hea­ver, and Ar­thur Sebren.
