Representative Text

1 Crown the mighty King of Glory
With a crown of richest hue;
Bring your laurels of devotion
To the Monarch who rules you.
Loyal subjects of His kingdom,
You before His presence fall,
And unite with delight,
To crown Him Lord of all.

Refrain:
Crown Him with a crown of glory,
Glad hosannas sing;
Crown Him, spread abroad the story
Of our King of Glory;
Crown Him who redeemed His people from sin’s thrall;
Bring homage true,
It is His due,
And crown Him Lord of all.

2 Never was there king so worthy;
Millions have His name adored,
All their fervent love and homage
At His feet have richly poured.
His majestic mien and beauty
Have held countless souls in thrall;
Spread his fame, bless His name,
And crown Him Lord of all. [Refrain]

3 Crown anew the King of Glory
In your hearts and lives today,
Tho’ no laud or adoration
Can His bounty e’er repay.
We delight to offer tribute
To the One who hears our call,
And to praise all His ways,
And crown Him Lord of all. [Refrain]
