Be a Little Sunbeam

In this world of sadness, There are hearts to win

Representative Text

1. In this world of sadness
There are hearts to win,
Where no ray of gladness
Ever enters in.
Homes are cold and dreary
Needing sunshine bright;
Darkened lives are weary,
Waiting for the light.

Chorus:
Be a little sunbeam, shining ev'ry day;
Scatter Heaven's sunshine all along the way,
Glow in ev'ry corner, drive the gloom away;
Be a little sunbeam shining ev'ry day.

2. Would you help to lighten
Burdened hearts today?
Would you seek to brighten
Paths along the way?
Scatter deeds of kindness
Be a sunbeam bright;
Lift the pall of blindness
With a heavenly light. [Chorus]

3. Tell the gospel story
Everywhere you go;
Flash the Saviour's glory
In this world of woe.
When the toil and sorrow
Of the night is o'er,
You may on the morrow
Shine for evermore. [Chorus]
