In 2011, author and singer-songwriter Caroline Cobb (legal name Caroline Cobb Smith) gave herself a goal to write a song for every book of the Bible in a year. That year of writing set in motion a new calling: to tell the stories of scripture through music and writing — with imagination, artistry and faithfulness to the text. Caroline’s first book, Advent for Exiles: 25 Devotions to Awaken Gospel Hope in Every Longing Heart (2024), explores the rich and relevant theme of exile by weaving together God’s Word, song, biblical imagery and responsive exercises.
