Representative Text

1 Sing praises to God for the gift of His love,
That guards us with tenderest care,
As onward we march to that city above,
Its heavenly mansions to share.

Refrain:
O praise ye the Lord in song,
His blessèd name adore,
And tell His mercies o’er,
As onward we march along,
Singing praises to God evermore.

2 Sing praises to God for the blessing of prayer,
That brings us so near to His throne;
For Christ in His beauty appears to us there,
And graciously welcomes His own. [Refrain]

3 Sing praises to God for His dear, blessèd Son,
Who came as a ransom from sin;
Thro’ Him we shall live when our journey is done,
Thro’ Him we may all "enter in." [Refrain]

4 Sing praises to God for His mercy so free,
That reaches and saves even me;
That precious Redeemer once nailed to the tree,
The theme of our praises shall be. [Refrain]
