Representative Text

1. E’er the day is over we our thanks would say,
For the many pleasures we have had today,
Parents, friends and teachers made us happy, quite—
So a hearty, Thank you! tells of our delight.

2. E’er the day is over, let us now recall
How our heav’nly Father plans our pleasures all,
Planting seeds of kindness in each older heart;
So, dear Lord, we thank Thee: Bless us, as we part.
