Redeemed By Love

Representative Text

1 The burden of my life has rolled—
I’ve struggled through the mire!
The love of Christ I have and hold,
And nothing more desire!

Refrain:
Redeemed by love, Immortal love!
Which sways all worlds above;
A fathomless and shoreless sea
Which flows for all humanity.

2 I’ve left the path of death and sin,
The way of life I trace,
While round about me and within
Flow endless streams of grace. [Refrain]

3 Sin’s luring song is lost among
The strains that come to me
From those who sing the triumph song
Beside the crystal sea. [Refrain]

4 The joy of worldly pleasure calls,
But thrills no more my breast,—
I look beyond, at jasper walls
And palaces of rest. [Refrain]

5 By step and step of joy I rise—
I feel a Presence strong!
The song within my spirit dies—
My joy surpasses song. [Refrain]
