1 We are soldiers of the heav’nly King,
Waving banners to the sky,
And we march along to Zion’s hill,
Singing songs of victory.
For the Bible is our trusty shield,
And the truth our flaming sword;
To the foe we’ll never, never yield,
While our captain is the Lord.
