Scored for Organ

An expressively celebratory piece for any season of the church year or for recital. Two melodies, VALET WILL ICH DIR GEBEN/ST. THEODULPH and HYFRYDOL, appear throughout the work sometimes alone, sometimes together, and in one section each phrase of one hymn is alternated with each phrase of the other hymn. While both tunes are associated with many different texts, the composer based this work on the Advent texts "O Lord, How Shall I Meet You?" and "Come, Thou Long-Expected Jesus".
