As Linda Lamb’s new setting of this timeless classic begins, the bells evoke the sounds of dawn – the mist rises, the birds sing, the light brightens. Then, as the sun crests above the horizon and the earth wakes to a new day, this 3 octave setting (with optional 3 oct. handchimes) comes to life. The tune, BUNESSAN, commonly paired with several different hymn texts, including “Child in the Manger,” makes this useful for a variety of occasions.
