Scored for Organ

Ralph Vaughan Williams collected many beautiful English folk tunes, which combined with his own, were compiled and edited by him in the English Hymnal of 1906. David Foerster, who shares the composer's love for Vaughan Williams' tunes, commissioned this duet for Raymond and Elizabeth Chenault, for the celebration of the New Buzard organ at All Saints Church, Atlanta. Four hands, one console.

The duet is based on English tunes:
CAPEL
DOWN AMPNEY
KINGSFOLD
KINGS WESTON
MONK'S GATE

Instruments: Organ Duet (2 players, 1 console)
