Just Over There

Representative Text

1. After this little life of time,
So sorely spent in a world of care,
Cometh for us a life sublime,
And hope keeps singing, "Just over there."

Chorus:
Never an ill can our pleasure mar,
Just over there where the angels are;
Jesus has said, who has gone before,
We shall be like Him to "die no more."

2. After this little life of time,
Over all earth the curse shall cease;
Robed then as in her sinless prime,
We may find rest in the bowers of peace. [Chorus]

3. After this little life of time,
We who have waited our King to see,
Blest in a kingdom free from crime,
Sharing His glory shall ever be. [Chorus]

4. Over beyond this mortal strife,
After the dreamless sleep of death,
Come all the joys of endless life;
Sweetly we cherish what Jesus saith. [Chorus]
