Ah, Lord, with trembling I confess. C. Wesley. [Backsliding.] From his Short Hymns, &c, 1762, vol. ii., No. 30. It appeared in the Wesleyan Hymn Book, 1780; and is retained in the new edition, 1875, No. 317. It has also passed into various collections in Great Britain and America, and is included in the Poetical Works of J. & C. Wesley, 1868-72, vol. x. p. 165.
