Representative Text

1 All hail to Christ our risen Lord,
All hail the hallelujah chord;
All hail the day when He arose,
In triumph over all His foes;
In glory where bright angels are,
The heav’nly gates are left ajar,
Our blessed Saviour, Lord and Master,
Now lives the bright and Morning Star;
Fear not! nor dread,
He is not here the angel said,
Mounting upon wings of faith and love;
The King of glory rose to heights above;
Lift up the heart today,
For Christ the Lord is ris’n;
Lighting all the heav’nward pathway,
To the realm of joy and love.
He is ris’n, He is ris’n,
Is ris’n today.

2 All hail to Christ our risen Lord,
Now and forevermore adored;
He reigns in majesty on high,
And pleads for us beyond the sky;
Our Saviour-Advocate is He,
Adore the King and bow the knee;
Seeking His face with songs of gladness,
Living in Him, we too, are free;
“Peace be to you,
His greeting comes to us anew,
Bringing joy to ev’ry trusting soul;
Cheerily let the chorus onward roll;
From distant sea to sea,
For Christ the Lord is ris’n;
He will come again in glory,
We, His blessed name extol.
He is ris’n, He is ris’n,
Is ris’n today.
