Representative Text

1 All our labor will be done,
And the crown of vict'ry won,
When we walk (when we walk) the streets of gold;
Ev'ry sorrow will be o'er,
We shall say goodbye no more.
When we walk (when we walk)
the streets of gold (streets of gold).

Refrain:
When we walk (when we walk) the streets of gold (streets of gold),
In that homeland (in that homeland) of the soul (the trusting soul);
Oh, what glory there will be,
In that home beyond the sea
When we walk the streets of gold.

2 Not a pain will touch us then,
Sorrow will not come again,
When we walk (when we walk) the streets of gold;
All our loved ones will be near,
And our souls will have no fear,
When we walk (when we walk)
the streets of gold (streets of gold). [Refrain]

3 We shall see our mansion shine,
In that city so divine
When we walk (when we walk) the streets of gold;
With our loved ones saved by grace,
We shall see our Savior's face,
When we walk (when we walk)
the streets of gold (streets of gold). [Refrain]
